The term upsc means “upscale,” which is a pretty good description of this book. It’s the process of making the first draft of a draft of a book, and is also a good reminder to myself. This is the first in a series of books I’m writing that I will be releasing in the next few months.
I first saw upsc when I was trying to proofread some of my books, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Its a process for sure, but it is a good reminder to myself as well. I really enjoy writing a draft of a draft to make sure as much as possible is covered, and then I make a revision of the first draft. The process also reminds me to never be afraid of making a mistake, and that I can make mistakes.
The upsc process is not a process at all. It is a series of decisions, and the decisions are the most important ones. Your draft can be the best possible draft you can make, it can be some version of what you think it should be, but the decision you make can be the most important one.
When you’re done, your draft can be revised, added, and edited. This is one of the most important areas of your life. You don’t want to be spending your time re-reading drafts of a draft. The next step is to decide what is yours and what is yours only until you’re done with it. If you decide that the final draft is perfect, then it is your decision.

This is a very common mistake, and it’s because we forget. We have this idea of “writing with abandon,” but this is not how we write. This is what makes writing a good writer.
For a writer to be a good writer, they have to be a bit of a risk taker. They have to be willing to say, “Oh, I wrote this in 5 seconds.” They have to be willing to write to the point where they have to think, “Oh, I wonder if I should write this or not.” They have to be willing to write in that “Oh, I wonder if I should write this or not” mode of thinking.
