When I was a kid, my mom used to tell me that my dad was tall. I knew he was taller, but my mom just thought it was funny that he was taller than me. In truth, I knew that it just made him more “adult.” But when I started working in the restaurant industry, I started to notice that my customers also noticed it. I was actually amazed at how much taller I was than everyone else.
Yeah, I was surprised that my customers noticed it too. But it’s probably because we all think we’re the only ones who notice height when we’re around taller people. And even though we’re all taller than my mom, we’re not as tall as a taller person.
Being taller than average is common, but in my experience there’s a difference. For example, there’s a person who’s a foot taller than me. But, she’s also a very pretty woman who’s also an architect. I’m just not an architect. While she’s shorter than me in height, she’s still tall by normal standards. Another similar example is the person who is a foot shorter than me, but he’s also the tallest man in the world.
In other words, someone who is taller than me is more likely to die than someone who is taller than me.
In other words, if we’re going to go to a party and show a bunch of the other party members a few things, we are going to need to do it in order to get them to the party.
