The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us. Whereas a person with self-awareness just hits the bottle and doesn’t look back.

As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.

If you think about it, we are literally stuck in a time loop where our actions and decisions control our lives. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

The problem is when we’re stuck in a time loop for so long that we forget we’re stuck in a time loop. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

The problem is we spend so much time worrying about why we’re doing this that we fail to take care of the habits, routines, impulses, and reactions that actually control our lives: our own emotions. We spend so much time fretting over what we’re going to say or do that we fail to get out of our own heads and into the real world to care about ourselves.

The same can be said of the “self-aware” person who is able to process the emotions of others and respond to them with a sense of wonder. That’s the man who created the self-aware, good-natured, true-believing, and self-admitted.

On the other hand, the self-aware person who is able to look at the feelings of others and respond to them with a sense of wonder is the one who can connect with their feelings and understand what’s important, and is the one who can take a few minutes to say, “I had a really shitty day and I just can’t deal with it. I just want to go home. I just need to feel better. I just need to be alone.

You can’t go and change yourself into a self-aware person without having enough self-awareness to look at the feelings of others. You can’t go and change yourself into a self-aware person without having some sort of self-awareness to look at the feelings of others.

Although we are not advocating that you give up and start acting like a “bad” person, being able to do that without any self-awareness is incredibly important. Without it, you’ll always end up in the same place you were before.
