I’m a father of a daughter who is 19 and I’ve been able to see her grow up with this sort of self-awareness. It would be so easy to stay in a place of self-pity and be so sad and upset that it would be hard to stay present in the moment. I think, though, that we need to see the good, and the bad, too. A father can be a real catalyst to your daughter’s growth.
Like a lot of fathers, Vijay Dravid was one of the most influential people to his daughter’s self-awareness. The two of them were always together, so much so that they were often seen around the same parties.
