I’m a nursing home resident. How can you be so happy? I don’t know what it is. I don’t know what it means to live a full life. I don’t know what it means to be a human being. I don’t know what it means to be alive. I don’t know what it means to die. I don’t know what it means to be alive.
We’re in the last half hour of the trailer, and all the while we’re watching the guy who’s just been released from his stay at the nursing home with his daughter and granddaughter. He’s got a lot of emotional baggage, and he’s been through a lot, but it’s really the daughter that’s the heart of the film. They’re the ones that show how hard it is to be a parent on the inside, and we’re rooting for them.
The film was directed by the always-great Brian Cox, and the trailer is a pretty big part of his vision. He doesn’t do too much of a pitch to us, but if you’ve ever seen a lot of his work you know that he is definitely one of the best directors around. It’s interesting because the trailer is so obviously a reflection of his personal life, but he obviously loves the subject matter and was clearly having a blast making it.
After the trailer we get to watch a special episode of The Legend of Zelda, which was about a group of Zelda characters who were given the chance to take the world by the sword and fight it out with a sword. The main character is a very brave and talented young man named Zelda, and he’s had a lot of personal problems, but the show is pretty much over when we finally see the man himself.
This is actually a nice change of pace from the usual Zelda series. Instead of the usual one-on-one sword fighting, this new episode centers around the characters’ personal lives. But it is still a Zelda show. And it is, in fact, the first of the Zelda games that includes actual time-looping.
The first of the time-looping Zelda games was released back in 2002. The second one was released in 2005, and the third one was released in 2006. If these are any indication, time-loops have a good track record. They are also, apparently, good at killing people. The series is now in its fourth season, and its fourth episode has just been released.
I’m always a little skeptical of theories about time-loops, but I will say that the game is pretty badass. In fact, I can’t imagine why anyone would suggest it’s not. The only thing that I have to worry about is whether the writers have actually been given the time to develop some serious time-loop humor, or if the game’s too smart to do it on its own.
You mean the time lines I keep talking about? Well, I was just telling someone not to worry about the jokes, because I’m sure they’ll just be jokes. But seriously though, if you think this is just a joke, then you have no idea what you’re talking about, no I’m not joking, and I’m glad you’re not. Just because some time-loops don’t have jokes doesn’t mean they don’t have a serious side to them.
The time-loop in the game is a form of parallel storyline. So if you’re a fan of time-loops, you can enjoy the joke of course, but you can also feel a real sense of loss when you think it’s over.
This is not the first time we’ve seen the time loop in a game. In fact, we have a pretty comprehensive list of time-loops in the game. In some cases, the characters who are using the time-loop are the ones who have a serious reason for doing so, whether it involves a real, live threat, or a desire to see the world in a new light.
