The thought of a baby Krishna is always a source of joy and love to me. I love his smile and aura of peace and serenity; the fact that he is a part of me and every day I am reminded of him is something I do not take for granted. I have a few images of him in my head that I always turn to when I need a little reminder that he is always with me and love me unconditionally.
The images of him that I look at most often are of him as a baby and as a young man, so it is easy for me to see him in both of these pictures. They are both so beautiful and simple and so much more than I would consider to be “standard”. He is not a beautiful “Krishna-child” or a “Krishna-man.

The first time I saw him as a baby, he was a completely different child than the one I am familiar with. This is because he was almost definitely a male. I couldn’t have been more surprised by the man who I knew as a toddler.
The difference in the image of him as a child and the image as a man I saw in the video is what caught me by surprise. While I was aware of his gender, I had no clue that he was of a different gender than I was. It is like his gender had been erased, leaving him a male.
We just watched the new trailer by the old trailer. It has an all-female mode that makes him seem feminine. While this isn’t meant as an all-male trailer, it is a pretty fantastic story trailer that shows the effects of male gender in the image. This may be the most bizarre look I’ve seen in a trailer so far.
Lord Krishna may be the most surprising character in the new trailer. While he may be a historical figure in the sense that his story takes place before the Buddha and Mahadeva, it seems that his story is more about how his family became followers of Buddhism.
