We all have our bad habits, and just like an apple, it’s good to know the difference between an apple and a banana. An apple is a fruit that grows on trees and is usually green and shiny. A banana is a fruit that grows on trees, but has no leaves or a tiny bit of green. An apple is a fruit that grows on trees and is usually made of a hard, black, shiny fruit.

It’s the same with movies. I want to like movies that are good, but I don’t want to do a whole lot of research to know if I should see it. There are plenty of good movies out there, but if I don’t know who to thank or what I should be looking forward to, I end up throwing my money in the trash.

I like to keep an eye out for good movies, and I try to keep a list of them in my head. I can’t really recall now to what, but I can probably find it online somewhere, or I can look it up in my notes. But it’s a pain and I usually end up spending two hours going through my list and not remembering what I was planning to see.

So, for this week, let me just remind you of the four best movies of all time.

Some of you may remember that I wrote about my list of the top 5 movies I saw in my life, and how I was not one of those people who remembers every single movie I saw. But that was long ago. In fact, I remember only one movie, The Last Samurai, which I saw on a Sunday in the summer of 1995.
