A friend of mine once said, “Every time you turn around, you’re staring at the same thing” and I couldn’t agree more. I would like to think that everytime I start a new blog, I’m staring at the same thing that I’m writing about. But that’s not completely true. On the contrary, I’m constantly noticing that I’m staring at a new thing.

Everytime you turn around (in blogging or otherwise) you are always staring at the same thing. In fact, this is perhaps the best description of the way that you are not the same person. Because you are always looking at something different. And that something is always something different. It’s like you never really have the same mind. You were on Deathloop not for a single day, but a lifetime.

Even the way that you are always looking at something different is an indication that you have not yet “come to terms” with who you really are. You are not the mind that you thought you were. By the time you realize that you are not the mind that you thought you were, you have already done something to kill off your self-awareness. That realization is what it takes to get over the “death” feeling.

The key to getting over death is to realize that you are not the mind that you thought you were. It takes work and time, but it can be done. It’s a very big deal. It’s the difference between being alive and being dead.

Sometimes, we’ve been told that we are the minds we thought we were. We’ve been told that we are the minds that we thought we were, but in reality, we are not. The thing is that we are all different beings, we are all different minds, we are all different selves. We are all different people, we are all different personalities. The difference between us and anyone else, is that we are not the same.
