We’re constantly comparing ourselves to others and looking for faults. That’s a great way to ensure no matter what we do we’ll always be judged.

I think there is a lot of truth in what you say. We judge ourselves on our faults and try to make ourselves better because we try to make ourselves better. This is a great reason not to be too hung up on perfecting ourselves. We should be focusing on improving ourselves, not perfecting ourselves.
